You come home
And trample on my trees
You burn down
My pretty little houses
What did they ever do to you?
I’m growing up here,
But you’ve found new ideas
You think I should know,
I think you have the plague of mind.
Always something new in fashion
You’re a fool for novelty
I’ll listen, but don’t you dare
Attack what I’ve held to stay strong.
You’re a wishy-washy sea
I became big brother
So you could pursue stability
But instead you pursue
The glue that holds me
Well, aren’t you grateful?
I almost hope
You’re the crimson mirror
You’re our father’s son
That you’re the evil one
So I don’t have to be
The way it looks,
You’re devoid of empathy
How else could you have missed it?
My suffering slowly, my hole-filled lungs
Breathing in hatred deeply, just for you
Now I see the fork in your hands
