Pulling Magnets Apart

Contributed by Chamaron on Monday, 15th March 2010 @ 10:28:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The feeling of your sweet skin
I daresay like my bedsheets
So comfortable I could sleep
Like a child on your doorstep

My hand in yours, almost confused
You are my best friend.
And here in this world spinning
We collide, a perfect complement

In your eyes, almost tears
For fear of letting go
But dearest don’t you know
I could never, I could never

Even if I wanted to,
Even if I actually tried
Pulling magnets apart
But you know they still belong
They still miss each other

I see the world in how far we’ve come
The difference is knowing how
To love despite flaw,
To want without knowing, without sense
No matter how they try to intervene

To come back home,
My home is you
To crawl in bed
My bed is you
To never know escape,
Because I never want to.
That is how it is, loving you.

I think nothing exists to compare to the suffering of a heart afflicted. How delightfully rapturous and agonizing is this enchantment. A torture that we run, eyes wide open into. If we did not taste the depths of despair, how could we know the height of ecstasy such as this?

Magnificently crafted and emotive. You truly captured the loss of sense that is accompanied by the ailment of love, perfectly. This is definitely a timeless piece of romance.
