Dear Friend

Contributed by Jontee24 on Monday, 15th March 2010 @ 02:09:44 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

For you
The time had come
But I wasn’t ready
I can’t see your face
I only see tears
I only feel pain

Why did this happen
You were so young
This burden’s too heavy
And I need someone

The death of a friend
Is too big a loss
The death of a friend
Is too big to bare
I remember your heart
And how much you cared

But you left me alone
To suffer and weep
It just isn’t fair
What did I do
To make you choose to be up there

I’ll miss you forever
Don’t forget to me you were so dear

I shouldn’t be angry
You’re much more happy now
Not hearing all the hurt
Not seeing all the hate
You belong in heaven
Though an angel’s more than what you are

You are much like a star
Watching over me
One that shines brighter than any other
We’ll meet again some day
And our bond will greater than ever

We had such bliss filled times
That I’ll never forget
You were my best friend
It’s the minutes without you that I do regret

When I need you
I know you’ll be there
Giving my comfort
In my times of despair

Thank you dear friend
For what we had shared
I’ll miss you forever
For truly I care

Very meaningful write.. I lost a good friend about 3 years ago. Watching my brother carry him was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but your right. They'll always be there for us, watching over us. A friend never dies I guess.
