I have a foolish heart.
It didn't take you as long as I thought to find it.
Some of those times I could tell if you were just talking or if it was just a means to another end.
Still you take,
My foolish heart.
I'm not sure yet whether you broke it,
Or maybe I'm just a little more sentimental than most.
I guess you're just one of those things,
That caught me.
We could play tactically all day.
I'm never so good at having to fold at the hilt for my own emotion.
When having to utter words so vulnerable I'm afraid will I be broken.
I'd hoped your heart was foolish.
There's something about silly cufflinked emotion that drew me in.
It's your eyes that can drive me crazy.
And your beautiful mouth whose own words severed my foolish heart.
Your shoulders are often bare,
Not for my foolish heart.
I loved when you seemed tender.
And you almost humored my desperate sentimentality.
I was lost in blue.
So was my foolish heart.
So take it.
My foolish heart is for now dimwitted for you.
