anguished

Ignored,
No longer wanted
You abandoned me;
Cutting our past away,
In one swift motion----
Like it was a cancer.
Disgraced,
No longer needed
I drown in misery;
Sinking beneath the surface,
My body writhes in pain---
Without oxygen I suffocate.
Agonized,
The spirit wanders
Unable to rest;
Haunting old stomping grounds,
Retracing steps taken with another----
Searching for answers.

A feeling common in a way not to celebrate. A strong write with imagery and heart on the sleeve. Many times even closure can not remove the growth as the pain is too far ahead.
"The spirit wanders

That sums it up in perfection.
Great write my friend.
take care
