Won't you, please, say you've forgotten me,
Say that you can't feel anythin' for so long.
When you see me with another boy.
Or just pretend you can't, oh baby,
Say I was just another flash of a light,
Which gone out so fast, so fast,
And your feelings, though I touched 'em,
I can't hurt 'em anymore.

Cos I'm so glad to know you get along,
And you build new life on the splinters
Of the old one,
I'm really glad to know this,
And I hope,
You don't see my face anymore,
In your sleep,
But I still remember how sweet it was,
Though I'm not the one to see it,
No more...

Maybe, you'll be wakin' up one mornin'
Got warmed with somebody's breath,
And touch me once again in your dreams...
But it was what it was, now it is what it is, boy.

Cos I'm so glad to know you get along,
And you build new life on the splinters
Of the old one,
I'm really glad to know this,
And I hope,
You don't see my face anymore,
In your sleep,
But I still remeber how sweet it was,
Though I'm not the one to see it,
No more...

Mon amour...

And I'm so glad to know you get along,
And you build new life on the splinters
Of the old one,
I'm really glad to know this,
And I hope,
You don't see my face anymore,
In your sleep,
But I still remeber how sweet it was,
Though I'm not the one to see it,
No more...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
