She's got eyes of the deepest, saddest green,
And hair as soft as a summer breeze,
She smiles at me, within my dreams,
She could mean the world to me,
With silent grace and a sullen sigh,
she captures my heart, my soul subsides,
I call her name in the deep of the night,
She could answer my prayers, she could be in my life,
I dream of kissing her lips all the time,
Feeling her hand pressed into mine,
I'd watch her sleep,
it would feel so right,
I need her with me,
By my side.
I want these emotions to last forever,
The feelings grow stronger, we should be together
If I held her close I could feel our hearts,
Beating in rhythm til the end of time.

This poem breathed life into the feelings I have been feeling myself for another. It's awful when all you can do is dream, knowing that the reality is you apart from the one you long to care for. Take care my friend. Again, lovely poem. |
