Music In My Attic

A thousand dreams shatter on their toes
Little Pied Pipers marching my silence
Mercury races my heart on a life
To blur everything quietly, inevitably
Pictures tire through his unfocused lens
They all but clear the air from my hopes
And it’s on and on, games on the runway
Escape routes for some, paging my life
My song can’t lament the tears I moan
And all my stories so strangely sung
They tip on me now - whirling dervishes
Like music written backwards, crazed...
I am turning back, I need myself now
I am back on my road, away from you both
My gypsy roots, swung over my life
The one I had from days that we never were…
