Harry

Topic: SadPoetry

You see Harry with a can everyday
collecting himself a little pay
His rugged face tells his tale
about how Harry had come to fail
You drop a coin in his can
you don't feel bad for this homeless man
you see Harry everyday and stop
as he gives you a smile for the coin you drop
You think Harry needs a job
he thinks how you don't hear him sob
He knows what's inside your head
it's in his too when he waits to be fed
He feels worthless now with nothing to do
except wait until he can smile at you
Harry is sick but oh so poor
and hospital bills he can't afford
So he takes life day by day
anlike you with nothing kind to say
Everyday you see Harry
this pain he could not carry
But oh how he tried
when he left oh how you cried

Is "anlike" a compound of "and" and "like"?? if it is you should put a ' where you dropped the letter.

Other then that it looks good nice flow, clear message, are you in high school or college?

Poor Harry.....
It is so easy to walk on by, living our lives and becoming complacent with
what we actually need the most - stability, routine. and familiarity.
These are the things that bring us comfort and security
What a brilliant piece, and it really makes you think what should matter most
in a world too busy to stop and take notice, Wonderfully layered, well done!

Touching and a very delicate written poem. So much heart put into a topic of struggle of an imperfect world.
Well written.

take care
