I've been driving around
My heads in a spin
Because I don't know what state I'm in
I'm looking for Tennessee
I've heard it's not that big
And the people are real nice
But I still think that it's a sacrifice
But I know I can't think twice
From the Rocky Mountains
To Lake Michigan
There just ain't no place that I haven't been
But I'm still searching for Tennessee
I hope when I arrive
It's as nice as they say
Because I plan living the rest of my days, there
In Tennessee
I've been through Seattle and LA
Been to New York along the way
City after city, state after state
I'm not sure how long I can wait
But at last I can see
Because I never gave up hope
It's where I should be
In Tennessee
