The moon has left my view tonight
soft shadows falling round.
Rain my night time serenade
as it softly falls to the ground.
No wind, just the peaceful calm
that called me out this night.
My skin damp with the mist
that to me feels just right.
The perfume of the primrose
teases all the senses
and the candle light soflty dances
leaving me in restless trances,
The moon has left my view tonight,
I dance in darkness in the rain.
No wind just the peaceful calm
that soothes my soul away.

Wonderfully wistful, shelby. I so needed to read this tonight. What a beautiful collection of sigh inducing words. Just perfectly calming. I especially love the last stanza.
