~A Haunted Soul~

Contributed by shelby on Wednesday, 10th March 2010 @ 01:24:57 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

A haunted soul strolls down the halls.
The halls called yesterday and regret.
The wind moans through the tree’s
Calling out you wont forget, you wont forget.

He hears her voice and follows sound,
down the long dark hall.
He strains in dark to find her
She would not answer his bewildered call.

He had stated many years ago,
she would always haunt his years.
Her eyes brown like the fresh garden soil,
and the night they were filled with tears.

He almost thought he saw her standing,
out on the front lawn in the rain.
Dancing in her flowing white dress
Then she slipped away.

He laid his head down on his hands.
He felt the quiver deep in his soul.
Why oh why did he do her wrong,
in his heart, soul and mind he will never know.

A haunted soul strolls down the halls.
The halls called yester year and regret,
her big brown eyes is the last thing he saw,
he wont forget, he wont forget.

This is great! i don't know how deep you want my commentary to run so ill just stay shallow and say it was solid.

But hun if you keep writing these depressing poems your going to put yourself in a box, go take a walk through the park and see some sunshine and butterflys it will do you well.

Such a haunting and spiritual tone throughout this write and you can feel the creepiness ghosting in and out. The imagery with the hallways is great. Well written.

take care
