The Brightness of Friendship

Light is not eternal,
there is always a chance to fall into peril.
There is always darkness in the light,
but this does not mean to give up the fight.
No matter what you never fight alone,
even if it feels like you have lost your back bone.
You always have friends at your side,
and with them there is no need to run and hide.
By yourself you may be done,
but with your friends you are one.
As one you can conquer your fears,
and shift your life into a new gear,
and never shed another tear.

What a delightful and inspirational piece. Friends
really are the "brightness" in our lives. They can
stave off the darker moments in life and shield us
from loneliness. Wonderful write.
