The pain that Im feeling, hurts so deep,
I toss and I turn, I cant seem to sleep.
The love in my heart is only for you
,I know you dont believe me but trust me Its true.
I dont know how to tell you, whats in my heart,
The ache inside just tears me apart,
I need you now like I needed you then,
But the words wont flow from my mouth or this pen.
I know you hurt as much as I do,
I know you feel our love is all through,
If this is the way it has to be,
Theres something you should know before setting me free.
I need to thank you for loving me,
For holding me close, for helping me see,
That love does exist so pure so true
From the depths of my heart, I need to thank you.
Thank you for showing me a new way,
Of living my life each and every day,
Thank you for sharing your heart with me,
And it saddens me now as you set me free.
My heart is breaking, my dreams all gone,
Your bags are packed, this feels so wrong,
I know youll be happier without me in your life,
But this pain is so real, it cuts like a knife.
So till our paths cross, in a future time,
Take care of yourself, Ill be just fine.
Remember me sometimes, with a smile on your face,
As Ill remember you, and in my heart
Youll have a special place.

There is an inner peace and acceptance in this somehow, yet the sorrow still remains embedded.
