Scatter In the Wind

Where did we go so wrong
Was it when I said I needed space?
I lie in bed at night and never sleep
Close my eyes and I see your face
Your note is shaking in my hand
I know love can no longer win
Rip it up, like you ripped my soul
And the pieces are scattered in the wind.
I crawl on my hands and knees
Not yet strong enough to walk
A glimmer of hope burns within
A heart so empty and dark
A storm is coming, rain will fall
It might last for awhile
Afraid I will scatter in the wind
So I hold onto your smile.
Have we lost the passion
Or can we reignite the flame
Take my hand and help me walk
I am so glad you came
Struggle to relearn ourselves
Hearts were never meant to break
Hold on tight; we'll try to run
My feet are beginning to ache.
Find strength in my touch
Find love in my heart
Together, we will remember how to fly
See desire in my gaze
See trust in my words
We'll make our way back to the sky...
Their doubts scatter to the wind
As we soar away
Nothing matters except you and I
In your heart, I will stay.
