My furry friend

Furry, purry cuddly cat,
Sitting on the big red mat,
Looks at me with big green eyes,
I look back in great surprise.
Stalking, walking , creeping cat,
Thinks my finger is a rat,
As I move it here and there,
She hides behind the comfy chair.
Slowly, slowly here she creeps,
I pretend to be asleep,
Coming closer, nearer still,
Getting ready for the kill.
Scratchy, catchy, running fast,
Bites my finger, then runs past,
Over couches chairs and me,
Stops and scratches at a flea.
Tired now, my friend and me,
Curl up together on mums knee,
Snuggle now all nice and sweet,
Quiet now, we're fast asleep.
