I locked myself in the bathroom,
Daddy is yelling at me,
I won't come out until he is gone,
Or until my blood runs free.
Scissors in my hand,
Gleam from the light,
I can cut my legs forever,
I can stay in here all night.
I cannot deal with yelling,
Or even being hit,
So I grab up my scissors,
And my legs I slit.
It helps me release my frustration,
Helps me vent my pain,
Tears hardly come to me,
But when they do they fall like rain.
I may only be ten,
But my life is intense and sad,
Shame on you daddy,
You make me feel so bad.
I hear you yelling at me,
The lock trying to click,
I know what you are trying to do.
You are such a ****
Mommy won't say it,
And I might not have a voice,
But I choose to hate you,
Because that is my choice.
Keep your anger to yourself,
You can hit the walls all you want,
But don't hit me anymore,
Or call me a ****.
I cannot forgive you now,
But maybe later in my life I can,
These scissors cut out your hate for me,
So I can be who I am.
