Two In The Morning
It’s two in the morning, and here I am
At the computer, once again.
Putting my thoughts out on the line,
Seeing what bits of truth I might find.
For when it’s dark and no ones around,
My heart beating is the only sound.
I allow the words to escape my mind,
As my fingers type in time.
Sometimes it freighting what I might see,
On the screen in front o f me.
Truths about myself that I might not say,
If I would have had a better day.
I guess I better to back to bed,
Before to much truth comes out of this head.

"I allow the words to escape my mind"
this line is really good. i think this accurately describes me a 2 in the morning too! I like the way this poem is written in a light playful way, but deals with the heaviness and complexity of a day in the life... |
