We went as snails in the wild,
The azure lake seemed mild,
I saw a heron staring blind,
And grass-snake looking very kind.
I heard the sound of bagpipe,
I saw wasps in the beehive,
We discovered a great pine
With some orange amber lines.
They say that there is a catfish,
But there are breams and trout,
And you can find here eels, upon wish,
And even sturgeon may be found.
When we were in the open sea,
We used to eat sardines,
We had mackerel,salmon...veal,
Not only fish we had at meal.
I saw some turtles in the sun,
I heard chirping birds in fun,
Maybe siskins,or lapwings,
And I knew goldfinchs singing.
And in the ending of the day
I saw an eagle-owl,
He was staring at last ray
And hearing the whole.
