Life is hard to understand
Fighting wars on troubled land
Building castles on the sand
When we were young we did not have a care
Some people don't have a home
They don't even own a telephone
So why on earth do you moan?
When you have these things and more
Some kids are being abused
Alcoholics are on the booze
Another murder, front page news
Think of this the next time you go on
The world is a starving place
There killings over the coloured race
Bombs being planted by a nutcase
So think before you speak
Some folk are deaf and dumb
Person knocked down in a hit and run
The disabled can only have limited fun
This is the world in which we live
Scientists are trying to find a cure
Some of us are rich, some are poor
But still the beggars ask for more
I guess some things will never ever change
Now you appreciate
The life God has given to you
You won't curse the world around yourself
And you'll look deep within your soul
Now you have found that question or two
The answers you already know
