Like crinkled leaves strewn carelessy on the ground
So, too are balled up pieces of paper in my room;
Ideas that will never take flight,
Cast off and discarded from myself,
Like leaves from a mighty oak tree---
Made to be shed before the chill of Winter.

the imagry in this is flawless. and so relatable. I realy enjoyed the part about how the balled up peices of paper are ideas that will never take flight. i've been there..actually i'm there now. nicely written. |
