Welcome to Psycholand

Contributed by Rykor on Monday, 15th February 2010 @ 04:03:20 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

Come with me,
And you will see
A place of purity.
Where freaks rule,
Life is not dull.
It is as beautiful as a jewel.
Everyone is crazy.
Their minds are hazy
With thoughts of everything tasty.
You might wonder, 'Why?
Is this land for I?'
I'll explain it to you without a sigh.
This land is better than reality,
Perfection as far as the eye can see.
Come to this land with me.
Reality is filled with hate.
People don't care if you're dieing inside a crate.
The train to this land is leaving so don't be late.
Reality doesn't care.
Staying here will make your heart tear.
Reality is nothing more than the devil's lair.
I see you're coming with me
Away from this land of misery
To a perfect place you must see.
Welcome to Psycholand.

It seems that psycholand
is synonymous with oblivion or maybe
a mental ward of some degree
anyhow escaping reality now and again
Is a load off
and is nice from time to time
in fact reading this passage
was one of those moments
Thanks

Yes, reality can sometimes be a brutal place to be.
I think the line
"Reality is filled with hate"
summed it up for me.
Everyone seems out to get you these days.
