The Sea

Alas the tides grow calm,
a new breathe graces the dawn
sweet as honey dew,
angelic is such captivating charm,
Her eyes emerged night and day
haunting a loner in dismay,
He called it beauty,
Yet modest smiles disagree
fate urged him along
to devoted depths of sea,
The footprints were none
upon her heart's barren shore
the surroundings lacked color,
life, love and more,
He ravished with tenderness
pledging his devotion
yet paradise soon sank
beneath thee lovesick ocean,
The tides rose and rose
to heights he couldn't grasp,
alas, the tides broke free....
A lost love drifted,
aboard the majestic sea.

Hi,
Some fine lines here to capture the trials and
consequences of a storm-filled affair.
Well done!
