It was the february last and we'd thought we'd seen the end of the snow.
When the snow seemed pathetic.
Acting as a blanket we'd use to smother ourselves.
I can't wait to see the end of february.
You spoke of romance blossoming through your letterbox.
Overworked and overtired, you said.
I would have rode a rollercoaster for you.
Sometimes I could imagine futures,
We chase tourists off your beach.
Your friends fall in love with me also.
And you would rest your head on my shoulder after the longer days.
You seem joyless too.
I would be joyous had I thieved your mirth.
It was a year this february last.
I am certain that I love you.
