Crystal Rose

Topic: SadPoetry

The crystal rose is hardened,
She's deep within her core,
He comes along and loves her,
He knows not for her the words.

So he gently unfolds her petals,
Taking in her aroma,
Taking in her charms,
And all her tranquility.

Then in awe he puts up walls,
Then one by one the crystal petals,
They come adrift and shatter to the floor,
They were one at peace now he slams the door.

Then he realizes suddenly,
The wrong that he has done,
He picks the shattered petals up,
Tries to put them back together like a jigsaw.

But alas it is forlorn, too late,
She is dying so slowly within,
The love she had for him,
Is slowly withering and dying.

What can he do now,
When almost all love is lost,
Can he some how recapture,
The love he tore apart.

For every time he hurts her,
A part of her heart does die,
She is slowly wilting and dying inside,
For the tears she is crying,
The salt is aging her petals,
Can he possibly ever show her his heart,
Forget what others tell him to do,
What should he do,
She just wants him to love her,
So the Crystal Rose can live,
For right now she is dying deep within.

I have felt that kind of pain... but with time it fades and the crystal heals itself if the men don't come along and either heal it, or damage it too much. Great write... it made me think.
