Things of the Room at Night

Topic: DarkPoetry

I hear all the sounds of the night
More than the average person might
You can't possibly understand my plight
So I'll explain it too you and try not to be too trite

The voices of the damned wail up from hell
Pleading to be pulled up from whence they fell
I try to ignore them to pull inside of my shell

They moan despite my protest
I can shut them out no longer even when I try my best
Night rolls around and I seem to find no peace or rest
These dead are annoying beyond belief, a real pest

Then my own voices start to talk to me
The apparitions don't mind that I they are invisible to me
To them I get on my knees and plea
Plea for a release from thier gibberish like inqueries

The eyes that stare at me from the darkness around
Where ever I look they are there to be found
Sometimes I wish for my body to live in the ground
Going crazy my heart will beat and pound

I am sorry I can't explain anymore
I must retire to my room for the spirits' encore
My spirit will one day go from shore to shore
And if I meet you, I you will abhore
