I tap into the psyche
Of an Americanny girl
Her life so complicated
Entanglements do swirl
Her mindset so unfocused
In viewing from the past
Reality so jumbled
So shaken of her past
She's looking for some solace
Amid rubble and the pain
16 hours more or less
So constant the refrain
Hoping for some kinship
In relations once were frayed
Not willingly to quiet
In beds that she has made
She seeks out for some wisdom
To guide her through these times
Hoping for connections
And love that truly binds
