I woke up crabby this morning
but, I couldn't understand why,
that's when the phone call came
all I could do, was cry.
Mom wanted to tell me
in person, not over the phone,
that you had died of a heart attack
while at a camp, instead of at home.
I had a hard day Dad
wow will I ever get through this?
I remember all the good times we had
but, it's our late night talks, that I'll miss.
I'll always remember you, Dad
you'll always be in my heart,
I know that when I say my prayers
we'll never be too far apart.

I'm sorry for your loss, I know how it feels to lose a parant, I lost my mother in 2004. Hang in there, you will pull through it.
