Pretty ballerina dance
Dressed in pink and lace
Tiny crown upon your head
Teardrops on your face
Even with a broken heart
Still you pirouette
On a stage of memories
Trying to forget
Gracefully she spins and twirls
To a tune of sighs
As the audience looks on
With uncaring eyes
No one seems to give a damn
No applause are heard
As she tells her tragic tale
With unspoken word
Pretty ballerina dance
Roses 'neath your feet
Wishing you could find the love
That makes you complete
As the curtain slowly falls
You are left alone
Give a bow and wonder how
To face life on your own

Loved it...I like how you acknowledge that the ballerina is speaking through her dance...very well written |
