Waiting

Contributed by JakerBaker88 on Sunday, 7th February 2010 @ 01:55:01 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I waited around a thousand days,
For someone like you to come;
I tossed and I turned and I cried all alone,
Waiting for you to come
But, alas!-----Came you did,
Heart battered,
Bruised,
And undone,
Unwilling to love thanks to another one.

So, I wait around a thousand days,
In hopes you値l come around;
And I toss and I turn and I cry all alone,
Waiting for you to pick me up off the ground
But, sadly, such a day may never come

For you my friend have sworn off love,
And for someone like me that means only doom,
For I have fallen in love with you----
How, oh how, I wish it weren稚 true!

Can you not see how much I care for you?
How long I致e waited,
Heart hammering,
Beating,
And screaming,
Unwilling to yield until I met the perfect one?

Well, it was a thousand days my boy
And it looks as if it値l be a thousand more-----
So, here I must remain,
For someone like you to come;
I値l toss and I値l turn and I値l cry all alone,
Waiting for you to be mine and no one else's.

Yes, it looks as though my fate is to wait,
But if I was only stronger-----
Then perhaps I could endure more;

Yes, my heart would not ache so intently for your embrace
While I continue to wait and wait and wait for you,
And all my other dreams to come true------

Oh, how I long for the days before you came!
My life had been simpler,
For I had been unaware you were a tangible being
That I could love unconditionally!

Yes, but now I know Love
And shall be unwilling to come to another one,
Thanks to someone like you;
So now I shall play the waiting game,
Until my dying day----
For I know I belong only to someone like you,
And how I wish it wasn't my truth
For someone like you may never come around,
To release me from this pain-----

Your heart is too battered,
Bruised,
And undone,
Unwilling to love thanks to that other one
The girl you waited to come to you----

How, oh how, I wish her only doom,
For mistreating you,
For damning us to this shame!---

Oh, how I wish you had never said her name,
For she is the reason we can never be a two;
And she is the ghost that keeps me from you!---

Cursing me to play the waiting game,
Until I fade away,
With only my ashes to remain
Proving that I stayed awaiting true Love,
And His kiss from your lips
My someone that is you,
And no one else but you will do---
I just wish you felt the same way about me too;

For I am the girl looking out her window,
Waiting for your shadow to appear,
And for the clocks to stop ticking off the hands of Time
While I remain alone,
Unwanted,
And unspoken of
Unwilling to be anything less than your only one----
To love a thousand days or more.

I can totally relate on both ends. it's really sad when this happens but the pain of loosing someone this way happens way to often. A lot of it has to do with the day and age we are living in.
Hang tuff and take it one day at a time.
Huggs, blessings,
emy
Thanks so much for supporting my writing.
