I am one of many
Who bears the Curse of Saint Valentine.
Just the mention of his name
Makes us tremble with despair,
For this day of romance for many
Is a day of pain for others.
As this dreaded day approaches,
So does this dreaded curse.
What is the Curse of Saint Valentine?
Beads of blue slip from your eyes,
And beads of red slip from your wrists.
All is silent in your empty house
Except for the agonizing screams of your heart
Throughout the cold, dark night
Which seems like an eternity.
I have attempted countless times
To break this curse,
Yet I have never succeeded.
I fear this curse will haunt me to the end.

Ah yes valentine! this poem reminds me
last year a card, wonder does she still
keep the music box, i doubt, yes valentine
can make one feel so lonely.
well written reminder, that for some
can be such a wonderful time
for others sad, but i am lucky
in the past i had my valentine
that i keep in my heart.
perhaps i hope for you
next valentine will be
the one.
Take care
