She took it to her grave..

She knew how much I loved him,
and for so many long,long years.
she was always there to listen,
she would help me fight my fears.

And she died with my secret,
I hate that it went that way.
and every time I would call her,
she would tell me it's the day.

So many were so curious,
they would all ask me why?
I just can't tell them the truth,
so why should I even try.

You use to be my baby,
and you were my best friend..
then someone came between us,
and it all came to an end.

All we went through together,
you taught me everything I know.
just because I had to leave,
you did not have to go.

And although she's in heaven,
I know that she can see.
that I still hold my secret,
and it's safe inside of me.

Not many of us could stay that loyal to our own feelings.
There is clearly something running much deeper here than you are willing to share,
but I am glad you had his mother's confidence. and am sorry for the heartache you continue to endure.....
