Freedom to Fly

Topic: spiritual

The Freedom to Fly

I look at the night sky
The deepening of the azure at the edge of the twilight
To the velveteen blackness with diamond like flashes randomly flung throughout the mantel of overpowering quiet that beckons the soul.

Then I experience the quiet as it exudes it's unrivaled power to free the fetters of the day's toil and imbues the soul with power unmatched by anything that can be created by clock actuated drudgery.

As the quiet infiltrates the atoms of my being, I feel the release of the
binders that keep me Terra bound. I feel the rush of power that cannot be described, only embraced.

I feel more than see the distance grow between my feet and
Terra Firma,
I rise, gaining speed.
I am enthralled by the feeling of freedom unimagined.
I turn and look back to see the landscape where I had been,
dwindle.

I pierce a bank of clouds and emerge in another reality,
no strife,
no stress,
just unbounded beauty that civilization
has not had the opportunity to destroy,
pristine and expansive.

I alter course, that I may skim the clouds,
I extend my hands,
fingertips creating wakes in the table tops of the billowing fleece.
I am not in the sky,
I am of the sky.

I move along the current of wafting wind,
following an uncharted course with exuberance,
as the explorers of old,
going boldly to find the unexpected and revel in the newness.

I hear a chorus,
the fibers of my being are strummed by the
magical beauty I behold everywhere I look.

I see light shimmer off the faces in the clouds.
The animals of imagination we see
when we lay in the grass and look skyward to the clouds
dance with abandon when unseen by earthbound eyes.

I race along,
catching up to a beam of light at speeds beyond comprehension.

I roll and spin,
I loop, dive, and climb,
ecstatic beyond all understanding.

Then it comes,
out of nowhere,
yet everywhere.

A voice, so soft,
yet of unimaginable power,
heard not by ear,
but by being.

The words clear and gentle,
the meaning beyond any mistake.

This I have given you that you might know

I Am Who I Am

The freedom you seek is found within.
Not given by government nor principality.
It requires no blood, no effort.
You cannot purchase it,
It is given to you freely.

Know that I care for you beyond your wildest imaginings.
Know that I care beyond all you can see.
Know that I made all things for you,
as My gift to you.
You are My child, as such this is yours.

Just remember
Who I Am.

I hang in space,

in time,

in wonderment,

in awe.

I see with new eyes

I see forever,
but cannot grasp it

I touch eternity,
but cannot understand it.

The Voice says
“Not yet”

I am back
back on Terra Firma.
But not as before.

I have I Am
He has me.
