Burn Out The Sun

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Laying here dead awake

My last breath held back

The thought of your touch

Keeping back an unending slumber

All I ask is that you can recall

The last time we kissed

A grip onto reality

A glimpse into your heart

The last time you felt my breath

Misfortuned wind blowing through your hair

Through your hands

Pouring into your rapture, your soul

My last breath held back

The thought of that night

Tears open the seems of this dark cloak

Death fails to grasp what was

What is

What once was our lust

A fire that could have burned out the sun

The passion that could have hid the light

As it seems the world went blind

And the WORLD WENT BLIND

Relight

Yes, relight that feeling

Bring forth the embers of our unsundered blaze

Say the words that will end all thoughts

Once more tonight baby

Lets Burn Out The Sun

The light so radiant

Colors so vivid

What's next

What's left

The last time we kissed

A grip onto reality

A glimpse into your heart

The last time you felt my breath

Misfortuned wind blowing through your hair

Through your hands

Pouring into your rapture, your soul

My last breath held back

The thought of that night

Tears open the seems of this dark cloak

Death fails to grasp what was

What is

A billion stars turn to blaze

2 million people left to stare

3 words left to speak

Don't retreat

Don't forget

Your last breath held back

Memories enshrouded

Life comes round

One person left to entrust

What once was our lust

A fire left to burn out the sun

A passion left to cloak the stars

As it seems the world went blind

And the WORLD WENT BLIND

Tend

Tend to the time gone by

Hold forth the embers of our unsundered blaze

Say the words that end all thoughts

Once more tonight baby

Lets Burn Out The Sun

The heat so intense

The aura so enticing

What's next

What's left

The last time we kissed

A grip onto reality

A glimpse into your heart

The last time you felt my breath

Misfortuned wind blowing through your hair

Through your hands

Pouring into your rapture, your soul

A billion stars turned to ash

2 million people gone blind

3 words left unsaid

Don't give in

Don't lose hope

I give you my last breath

Bodiless this life surrendered

To restore a life

One person left to live a lust

And the WORLD GOES BLIND

Live

Live the life you've been granted

Share the embers of our unsundered blaze

As my final words will end all thought

All doubt

All distortion

The angel's tears gleaming

The rain's unending sound

The sky opens the door

The last time we kissed

A grip onto reality

A glimpse into your heart

The last time you felt my breath

Misfortuned wind blowing through your hair

Through your hands

Pouring into your rapture, your soul

A billion stars restored

2 million people awoken

My last 3 words spoken

Don't dispare

Don't regret

Your breath on my face

As I slip away

A life given

A life granted

A passion reignited

3 final words spoken

With a final breath

I Love You

And so the Sun Burns Out

By,

Cory Hair
