Animal Testing

Contributed by Debi-x3 on Tuesday, 2nd February 2010 @ 03:32:56 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I sit in my cage,
Eyes glued open in fear,
Listening intently,
To see what I can hear.
All these humans are so evil,
when Im sitting here they jag me with needles.
Different chemicals course through my veins,
It hurts so much, Im in so much pain.
My fur is patchy, my legs are sore,
Please don't hurt me anymore.

this is a good perspective from the point of view of the animal. To give your writing more depth, you should try writing from multiple perspectives and then bring them all together. for example, write a 8 line section from the point of view of the doctor testing the animal. why are they doing it, maybe they are doing it to save animal lives or they are just cruel. Then you can have their role reversed, he gets cancer or some illness, and doctors work on him, do tests, cause him pain, which he relates back to the animals he used to test on. There are a lot of deeper approaches to writing then just the head on approach. I would like to see how that would work for you.

i meant to say maybe they are trying to save human lives by testing on animals, not saving animal lives
