DADDYS GIFT

Contributed by brittany24 on Monday, 1st February 2010 @ 09:12:39 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I USE TO NOT BELIEVE A MAN WOULD EVER REALLY LOVE ME
A TALL AWKARD GIRL WHO HAS A TOUGH TIME COMMING OUT OF HER SHELL
YOU SEE MY FATHER NEVER REALLY LOVED ME,NEVER CARED.
HIS LACK SET THE TONE FOE MY LIFE,SEALED MY FATE
I WAS OK WITH DESTINY
THEN I FELL IN LOVE WITH "HIM"
HE TORE DOWN THE WALLS THAT SURROUNDED MY HEART,
BOUNDED UP ALL MY PAINFUL SPOTS
THEE BUTTERFLIES IN MY HEART DUSTED OFF THEIR WINGS AND FLEW AGAIN
HIS LOVE GAVE BIRTH TO THE HOPE WITHIN ME
A MAN, BEAUTIFUL,STRONG,SMART, LOVED ME
THEN,AS ALL MY INSECURITIES ASSURED ME
HE LEFT
TOOK HIS LOVE AND MY SELF-WORTH
NOW AS I BUILD THE WALLS BACK UP AROUNDMY HEART
AND DIG THE MOAT AROUND MY SOUL
I SEE MY FATHER"NO MAN WILL EVER REALLY LOVE ME"

This is an excellent write, would be better without the caps not a criticism, just an observation.

Your writing is very good, keep on writing

Take care
Fuzzy

I am a father, and I intuitively knew that a father's relationship to his daughter has to be one of unconditional acceptance and love. I really appreciated the depths of your emotions and the skillful way you put it out.
