Solitude

Solitude, solitude.
Taste it in your heart like a
bird and it's seed.
Bear it in your arms like a
Cat and it's prey
Feel it with your mind's anguish like a
Tortured prisoner.

Take it like a weight
To your soul and
Wear it around your neck
On a chain of gold.

Solitude, solitude.
Bear it like a burden
To your brain and
Keep it in a treasure
Box on your dresser,
Only taking a peek inside
When you have too much love
Too much hate
To keep within your mind.

Bring it with you
When you visit hell
Like a flame inside your body
Burning away to find the happiness
And charring your face until
It reaches the satisfaction
Of no longer being alone.

Solitude, solitude.
Dream it like a king
Who is never accompanied
By the emptiness.
Drink it like poison
You want to have reach your heart
First and lick
And encase
And kill.

Bring it like a present
To an enemy,
Only to look inside and see my
Face reflected in a crystal piece of glass
Where all my lost memories and
Regrets may reside by the Devil
In a place so know for it's
Solitude, solitude.

Quiet, peaceful and tragic with always wondering when the weight of being alone will be lifted. This flows quite well for the reader.
