Suicide

I walk over suicide bridge every morning,
Her temptation greets me with a smile,
Cars pass below, oblivious to her past,
I may take a leap, it will only hurt a little while,
Everyday her appeal gets stronger,
The day will come that I lose this fight,
Sacrifice my body to the calling road below,
My aching heart will fall, two lovers will reunite,
The day has come and I take a deep breath,
I step over the rail, spread my arms, offer myself to the sky,
Recalling how this same bridge took your life,
I throw myself forward and let out one final cry.
