Sealing My Heart
As you make your exit from what will be our final night
I have but little time before the new morning’s light
Each moment together with thoughts and emotions we were sharing
Has led to an unmatched level of understanding and caring
Your words I will use as the lacing to stitch closed my bleeding heart
This will be the final scar that will complete the work of art
Remnants of you sealed inside forever to carry me through
Enshrined for eternity as I will never again find someone like you
