Maybe I would have been more understanding.If I wasn’t to busy trying to be Understood.
Maybe i would have been more loving
If I wasnt to busy trying to be loved..
Maybe I would have stop to think. If I wasnt to busy giving my thoughts...
Maybe I would have thought about your feelings.
If I wasnt to busy telling you how I felt..
Maybe I would have been a better student.If I wasnt to busy trying to be the teacher...
Maybe I could have done Gods will sooner in life.If I wasnt so busy doing mine.
Maybe I would have admitted to be powerless.If I wasnt to busy tyring to act powerfull...
Maybe I wouldn’t feel spiritually bankrupt...If I wasn’t busy trying to get a penny for my thoughts.
Maybe I would have never learned this now.. If I wasnt busy being like that then...
Maybe now I can start to grow. If I just get busy and put that side of me away that thinks its grown...
Maybe just maybe the change can begin.Or maybe me realizing all this the change has begun..

| I like the concept you have explored in this poem when you are too self absorbed then self realisation sets you on the journey to change.Its a strong challenging poem. |
