She appeared in my life, like the birth of a child.
I did not realize, our dance, would last quite awhile.
I knew from that moment, she was the one.
To live my life with, through good, bad and fun.
Young and beautiful, she was to me.
Together we found, promise of peace, joy and harmony.
Several years later, we decided to wed.
Thence, our journey began through life's long tread.
Where would it end? We did not know.
We just decided to let ourselves go.
We struggled along like all of us do.
Hoping our love and God beside us, would carry us through.
Life's gifts started to surround us, a family was made.
Four beautiful children adorned our crusade.
We were tested and teased by evil I am sure.
Our love prevailed, love, always the cure.
Decades have come and gone since we had that first dance.
She is beautiful now, mind, heart and soul, as in the past .
We will grow stronger together, as the days pass us by.
Love will prevail till the day that we die.

In this world where the beginnings of love often wither and die its wonderful to know that it can prevail and strengthen and produce the fruits for the next generation. what a lovely tribute to this you have written |
