the glimpse of happiness fades
the world returns to its dull shade
thoughts of love crumble away
during the early parts of the day
dreams and happy thoughts
are all but lost
perhaps they will return some time
but truthfully hope isn't so kind
it seems to make everything better
but hope itself is a cancer
intensifies the sadness after it dissipates
it makes everything full of tears and hate
why do we keep hope around
maybe some people just like the way it sounds
i guess it doesn't matter to so much to me
i just really want to be truly happy

whoooaa... very striking in a level style
i too am not a fan of hope, but that's all we've got at times, even when u know things r going bad. truly though hope brings about a better/positive attitude and a brighter future. hope alone wont get u anywhere, u yourself have to fulfill it, then joy will be handed to u (sorry to ramble, but i HOPE this helps)
