We were siting in camp
it was lat in the night
it was cold and damp
most knew they wouldn't see dawns light
and others didn't even want to
they were worked to death
they were tired and they just threw
themselves on the fence to take their last breath
even I have considered dying this way
no longer being under their control
I cannot live another day
this camp has taken its toll
I look silently at the fence
redoubtable with its sharp barbed wire
my mind racing with deadly suspense
I want to be free its my only desire
I don't want to live in this place of hate
there's no way to leave on my own
its time to decide my fate
and hopefully God will take me home
