~Ode to Edger Allan Poe~
I sense your words late at night,
It feels like being in a dream,
Within a dream from the words,
You did write.
I’ve been to the depths,
Of the cemetery graves,
talked and listened,
To the spirits of the dead,
At the rusted gates.
I have walked the sands,
By the city by the sea,
As the raven cries,
clutch has circled over me.
Sat under a tree at the lake,
And felt your stanzas,
Of the silence slowly dissipate.
I have laid my eyes,
On the greenest of our valleys,
And let romance,
Come dance at me.
Have been caught in a serenade,
And enjoyed the one to paradise,
Everything you have written,
Entices my eyes.
You took me to the happiest place,
And I understand what it like,
To hear the silence without hate..
Your bell has rang out loud,
While your words always will,
Be locked in the coliseum ,
That makes my mind swell.
If it was not for you Mr. Poe,
My words others surely would,
Not have ever been known!

love it, especially this line
"I’ve been to the depths,
Of the cemetery graves,
talked and listened,
To the spirits of the dead,
At the rusted gates."
