Girl In My Head

There is a girl in my head,
She hides within its depths
Listening to everything I’ve said
And seeing every façade that I shed
There is a girl in my head
And at times we dance
Round and round we tread,
The ground beneath we shred
There is a girl in my head,
She is my siren,
With her song my heart is fed
Keeping it beating its brilliant red
There is a girl in my head,
Untangling my thoughts
She has never mislead
Leading me with her tiny thread
There is a girl in my head
And I will never deny her,
For no matter how much I’ve bled
She will remain until I am dead

Your poem makes me wonder about the the girl in your head.
Almost like I want to know her.
I'm a little lost in my own head right now.
Very good write though. |
