Bullies In The Workplace

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE WHO PLAY MIND GAMES,
ARE THEY IN YOUR WORKPLACE OR AT YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL?

I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF A BULLY IN THE WORKPLACE, HE CAUSED ME PAIN AND SUFFERING, AND I ASK WHY?

I SILENTLY CRIED FOR FEAR OF RETRIBUTION FROM MY BULLY AND HIS SO CALLED MATE!

I BARED NO PHYSICAL SCARS FOR PEOPLE OR MY PEERS TO SEE JUST A HIDDEN AGENDA INSIDE MY MIND WHICH HE SO CAREFULLY PREMEDITATED THERE!

MY HIDDEN AGENDA IS TUNED THERE NOW, DEPRESSION, BY THIS TOXIC WASTE DUMP OF A SO CALLED MAN!

I USED TO ASK MYSELF DO I FIGHT OR FLIGHT, COME FRIDAY NIGHT AT 5PM I WOULD SAY FIGHT THIS SELF SCENTED MAN!

COME SUNDAY NIGHT I WOULD SAY, “CATCH THE NEXT FLIGHT SO I CAN REST MY MIND”.

I TRIED TO CONFRONT THIS LEADER OF THE PACK BUT I RAPIDLY LEARNT THIS DIRTY RAT ATE MY WORDS AND SPAT THEM OUT!

THEN ONE DAY I SPOKE MY MIND, NOT TO THE BULLY I KNEW BETTER THAN THAT! I WENT TO MY MANAGER FOR ADVICE; HE CALLED THE TOXIC MAN INTO HIS OFFICE!

TOGETHER WE LEFT THE MANAGER’S OFFICE.I FELT SUPERIOR FOR THE BULLY HAD AGREED, IN FRONT OF THE BOSS, HE WOULD AMEND HIS HORRIBLE WAYS!

AWAY FROM THE MANAGER AND OUR PEERS, HE SAID “I’LL GET YOU FOR THAT!” AND TRUE TO HIS WORDS HE GOT ME FOR THAT!

I STOOD ALONE WHEN IT CAME TIME TO FIGHT THIS MAN, MY WIFE HAD DECIDED SHE HAD ENOUGH SO KICKED ME OUT TO FIND MY MIND!

LEFT IN THE GUTTER I SUED THIS TOXIC MAN AND MY EMPLOYER, AN INTERNATIONAL NAME!

SOME SIX YEARS LATER I WON MY CASE BUT LOST THE BATTLE TO KEEP MY WIFE, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY I LOST MY MOST TRASURED LIFE, MY BELOVED CHILDREN!

IN HINDSIGHT I WOULD STILL FIGHT FOR JUSTICE AGAINST THE BULLY, NOT ONLY TO STOP HIM HURTING ME BUT FOR THE OTHERS I LEFT BEHIND IN THAT TOXIC ENVIRONMENT, I USED TO CALL MY WORLPLACE!

IN HINDSIGHT I WOULD HAVE LEFT THAT ENVIRONMENT FOR A SAFER WORKPLACE BUT CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE THAT IS TODAY?

The great thing about poetry is that it can help get what's inside out. Poetry can often be like having someone to talk to about problems. This is an outcry, and an admission of suffering, yet through it's creation, you can clearly establish a determination of defience. 'Determination of Defience'- nice bit of alliteration that!
Well done, good expressive piece of work.
Keep your chin up!

Amoeba

This is a great write. It's a common problem today in one form or another. Not enough people speak out. I ended my terminol problems on my job. I now am self employed!! Couldn't take it anymore.
I'm sorry all of these things happened to you. Good luck!!
Michelle

Hi Amoeba! Thankyou for your kind words RE: Bullies In The Workplace.
I think your comments are better than the poem:). No seriously ,since starting writting my thoughts, emotions and experiences only 10 days ago I have discovered a new form of therapy and it is helping my state of depression!

Your right when you said "Poetry can often be like having someone to talk to about problems!". I have been hurting inside for many years as a result of my incident but was unable to express my thoughts to others but thanks to another Author on this site I haven been given this opportunity to now express my feelings without keeping them in my mind. My ambition is to create a web site to help those suffering from the same atrocities, to help the victim but importantly help the victim's spouse/children especially those who are suffering financially because they are unable to work!

I now know the way around victim's being subjected to unfair workcover tactics etc, let alone the bullies themselves. I can help them avoid workcover interigators because of my experience and allow them to at least have a stable income via their Superannuation Policies!

These plus many other important factors I will write in a series on this issue!

Thanks Again for your Comment Amoeba.

Kind Regards

cjc
