Zeros and Ones

Contributed by net on Tuesday, 12th January 2010 @ 08:35:05 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

There I was right beside the river
My shadow spread under your heels
Exchanged smiles have we
And shared a moment of truth
Though centuries filled with its tale
Love was missing that summer day
I saw fate fluttering away

Gone now the days of summer
And with it pain claims reign
The rhythm of your heartbeat still remains
With it my body sings your name
Rooms, streets and bars they always change
But my chest remembers your gentle waves
Inhales, holds and exhales the same way

And now the letters they carry my genes
Wires and cables my kiss journeys
Digital bricks shape your smile
Your voice collapsed, your colors broken down
My gaze as it travels the land and the seas
Inches away your inviting lips I see
Taken away from me by this thin reality

Now that this desk is my temple
And the organ replaced by tiny squares
Liquid crystals hanging over the altar
Coded prayers these signals transfer
My soul though dispersed, survives
I reach out to you my love
By zeros and ones…

There is something evasively surreal here
the textural conveyance, elusive yet coherent
the latent foundation, copliments the sincerity nicely

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
