Tormented

Contributed by jessb3 on Sunday, 10th January 2010 @ 10:31:36 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Night and day they tormented me
Soulless things
Entering my mind
Blackening my heart
Moistening my eyes with red hot bloody tears
Memories that only brought pain
Creatures from the past
Plaguing me
Censuring me
Blaming me
I sought to destroy them
So with guns blazing
Red hot guns
Filled with red hot bullets
I killed them all
The hatred oozed out of every pore
As I stared down at the memories
Broken fragments
Lifeless on the ground
Without a thought I buried them
Without a care I walked away
Without the realisation
That though dead and buried
Their spirits still survived
Plaguing me
Censuring me
Blaming me
Creatures of the past
Who refuse to let go

can feel the anguish and torment in this brought out strongly by the imagery...moistening my eyes with red hot bloody tears. The continual suffering.....who refuse to let go. very captivating and well written

Powerful words, beginning to end. Each line hits like a fist. I really like this

Oh, this is amazing. I really relate (as I'm sure many do) to this. the past and the creatures that haunt it are so hard to abolish. Maybe we'll never be free. Letting go is so easy to say. Problem is our conscience is always baiting us with memory. Wonderfully written. Very poetic indeed.

This was great to read. I really like the descriptions and also the bold imagery.
