The red chin and cheeks mock me
A yellow grin chides me
Sausages type as they laugh
At my self indulgent mind
A Hollywood smile smirks warmly
“You can be like us” it says, successful,
Intelligent, important, significant
And yet I remain,
A grain of sand, of dust being gradually sucked up
By the universal tease.

Hi,
But take away a grain at a time, and the sand
becomes less and less significant!
We're all a piece of the big picture.
Nicely written.
