the demons descend
flooding my barren mind
the horror of emotion
eating away at my life
clawing its way into light
the truth begins to show
making their decision for them
the smooth comfort of stiff white linen
the binding sensation of its leather
the doubt eradicated
as the path is now clear
wrapped in safety
no damage can be done here

I enjoyed reading this because of how raw and brutal the imagery is. A sick tone is delivered by the writing and it was very interesting. |
